Weekend Make Up Post – Lounging in His Baskits

Apologies and a Three Shots of a Hottie

I had noted in June (June!) that I was going to get back to the original purpose of this blog – a hot guy in briefs DAILY.  I’ve clearly failed.  So as I see it, I’ve shortchanged you roughly 60 guys.  Bad me.  To help make up for it we’re going to do 2 guys a day for the rest of the year.  One in the morning and one in the afternoon.  To that end, I’m including THREE hot images Tim Baird, the winner of Baskitwear‘s underwear model contest with connexion.org (courtesy of Baskitwear) in this post.  In sticking with the theme, Tim is wearing some hot swim briefs – a reminder that summer is STILL HERE! Enjoy.

And head over to Baskitwear today and in their “Specials” section they have underwear for $12 and swimwear for $14 (limited sizes).  I grabbed one of each this morning 🙂

5 Question’s With Baskit CEO Eric Schwers

The reaction to the new Snugfit Seamless from Baskit has been great.  As such, they’ve sent out 5 questions with their CEO.  Check it out.  Fun! (Forgive the woman in the picture… but the dude is hot, and the interview is insightful.)

Five Questions with Baskit’s Eric Schwers: SnugFit Seamless

With the most recent success of Baskit’s new SnugFit Seamless line, Baskit’s CEO Eric Schwers offers us the background behind how he was inspired to create this new line, just how it is manufactured and where he hopes to take it.

What was the original impetus that inspired you to create such a uniquely different line of underwear? Have any other underwear brands created something similar to SnugFit Seamless, or is it the first of its kind?

I wish I could take credit for the original design of seamless underwear but I cannot.  If you look at some of the luxe European brands like La  Perla, Hanro or Zimmerli of Switzerland, they have been making seamless for men for years. I purchased my first pair of seamless a few years ago while living in Austria and I really liked the way it fit and felt. It was a lot like ‘going commando’ but still having some support.

In 2009 I introduced the first pair of SnugFit Seamless briefs to the baskit collection. It did extremely well and we received requests for more colors and styles. So this year we added a trunk and the fishnet fabric. The additions have also done very well and we’re seeing an increase in US men looking for seamless underwear.

Why do you feel that the initial reaction to the SnugFit Seamless line has been so positive?

It really feels great on your body and it looks amazing. Men want underwear which feels good against their skin and feels good in the terms of support. Our SnugFit collection just does this and again, it really doesn’t feel like you’re wearing any underwear, yet you feel supported. Don’t take my word for it. Try some.

Are you planning to take the SnugFit Seamless line further and create different variations of it for new lines? Will you expand it into more colors?

The short answer is ‘yes.’ We’ve only designed a brief and a trunk so far, but we’re working on another style for 2011. We’ll be adding more colors too as the line grows, but while seamless is still ‘new’ to the US market, we want to keep the colors and styles simple.

Tell us a bit about how the SnugFit Seamless line is manufactured? Is it a difficult process?

Wow… I can talk for hours about how seamless underwear is made. It’s really a unique process. Unlike traditional underwear, which is made from individual pieces (i.e. pouch, body, seat), and then sewn together to make a pair of underwear, seamless underwear is actually woven in a continuous circular loom to create the underwear. It takes a very special and quite expensive sewing machine to make the underwear. We use CF Rimoldi, an Italian brand, to make our seamless. Rimoldi is the world leader in seamless underwear and their machines are known, not only for amazing quality, but the ability to execute intricate designs.

If you watch a pair of seamless being made, it basically appears before your eyes. The machine is moving very fast and suddenly you begin to see the top edge of the waistband and then slowly the baskit logo becomes visible (and the care instructions are being woven on the inside of the waistband at the same time!) and then the machine continues down to the bottom of the underwear where it is cut from the machine and then finished. So if you look at the SnugFit seamless, there is actually one small, short seam at the bottom of the pouch. It’s hardly noticeable and you certainly never feel it. Ok…I’ll stop talking about the technical part now. It’s just really cool.

What’s the difference between the SnugFit Fishnet trunk and the SnugFit Seamless trunk? What causes the line to fit a person’s body so well?

The SnugFit Fishnet collection is based on our standard SnugFit designs in the brief and trunk. The only difference is in the construction of the weave that makes up the underwear. The fishnet weave is, well, a fishnet design. Think of how fishing net is constructed. We did the same thing in the body and seat of the underwear. However, the pouch is a solid weave. Our Fishnet collection provides a nice airy feel and shows off a little more skin!

SnugFit fits your body like a glove due to the seamless weave and design of the underwear. It’s strange when you see a pair for the first time. It tends to look really small and you think, “This is not going to fit me or be comfortable.” But then you put it on and you feel nothing. It just stretches to fit the form of your body. It gives you the exact amount of support you need in the pouch based on what you’re…well…based on what you’re packing.

Baskitwear Snugfit Seamless Trunk Review

I’ve been traveling a lot for work  – and who doesn’t need comfy underwear when they travel, right?  I got home from almost 2 weeks on the road and had a nice envelope from the PR company for Baskitwear.  I hadn’t had a lot of contact with them before, so I was intrigued.

Inside was a pair of white boxer briefs . White mesh boxer briefs. I read the note they sent – they are the new Snugfit Seamless Trunks.  As I looked at them, my boyfriend and I both thought “wow, those look small.”  Even though they were sized L/XL (I have a 34″ waist and run between M and L depending on brand).

I was just about to head out for another 2 day trip and had a ~3 hour flight to take.  So I decided to put them to the test.

The next morning, I woke up, showered and put on the trunks. All I have to say is WOW. The material was some of the softest I’ve felt – and they stretched handsomely for a perfect fit.  Now I get why there are only 2 sizes (S/M and L/XL).  The mesh material was breathable but supportive. And did I mention SOFT?

After a 3 hour flight and a full day of meetings, the briefs held up well.  They were still in great shape when I got back to my hotel room that night – the legs didn’t creep up.  The waistband didn’t roll – it was almost a perfect day with my underwear.

Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations – and mesh underwear always seems suspect to me, but these were some of the best trunks I’d ever worn.  I actually looked at Baskitwear’s web site and noticed they come in briefs as well.  After the great experience with these, I’m going to order a few for myself – and a couple for the boyfriend as well.

I don’t make recommendations often but these were awesome trunks.  Absolutely loved them.

My verdict (all out of 10):

  • Fit: 10
  • Material: 10
  • Comfort: 10
  • Style: 9
  • Wearability: 10

The Snugfit Seamless Trunk is seriously the best underwear I’ve worn since the Calvin Klein Steel collection. And the mesh is kind of fun and not… I have to admit!

YouTube Special – Baskitwear Photo Shoot!

The folks at Baskitwear sent me a note with a link to this behind-the-scenes video of their recent photoshoot for some new underwear coming our way this summer.  Since they’re here in Colorado (where I live), I have a special place in my blogospherian heart for them.

Here’s the vid.  Good music. Good attitude. Hot models.  What more can you ask for? (Maybe next time they’ll let me come cover it live… hint hint!)

Monday Morning Crush – Crushing on the Jarics

Ok.  So it’s Monday evening.  I’m a little behind today.  After chatting a bit on twitter with these two, I had to resurrect the Monday Crush.  If you haven’t ever seen them, Aden and Jordan Jaric are two adorable hotties who are so much in love – it almost makes you sick.  They look smoking hot in their underwear (or less) but it’s their personalities that shine through in images, interviews and onscreen.

Aden and Jordan Jaric goes Shirtless on DNA Magazine #1171

They live in Sacramento… small town boys and big time porn stars who love the small town.  Their tweets between each other are adorable.  They talk about going out, work, cuddling, shopping – you name it – normal couple stuff. And of course, they look SMOKING HOT in their underwear. And there are plenty of pics of them in their underwear out there.

Moreover, the new issue of Unzipped has them on the cover and a cute spread inside – which reminded me of how cute they are – and how much the look like all American boys.  I won’t feature the naked pics here, but seriously – get a copy.  Their playfulness comes through in the pages!  Here they are on the cover (left and right):

On the inside, the pics are super cute. They’re modeling some hot Baskit briefs (Baskit has a deal with Falcon, for whom the Jarics make movies).  But seriously – anything they wear looks good!

And a slightly closer (a bit grainy) shot:

Lastly, this one has to be my favorite.  I had to do a little blurring (we don’t show dick here as you know) but I just LOVE how the photographer captured their playful spirit in this one.  So cute.

Ok.  So I should probably stop before I get into stalker mode (though they do admit on their blog that stalkers are welcome – but I imagine only the cute non-threatening type – which I would totally qualify for).  Here are a couple more of my favorite undie shots of the boys before I’m off.  Enjoy!

And nothing like a classic tighty whitie shot!

Oh. And in case you’re wondering, no, they’re not brothers (perv).  They’re a couple – and being traditional small town boys they decided to take the same last name.  I don’t know if it’s one of theirs or if they combined the two (I read about it a while back) and can’t find it online right now.  Maybe I should ask them next time we tweet.

Hope you enjoyed the pics and my description of my little online encounter with them as much as I did!
